Calculation method for power consumption of illuminated advertising signs

How many kilowatt hours of electricity does a glowing advertising sign consume in a day? Firstly, the author needs to explain the concept of power. Those who understand it can directly look at the calculation method of power consumption. The watts and kilowatts we often refer to the electrical energy consumed per unit time, namely w/h (watts/hour), kw/h (kilowatts/hour), and 1kw is the amount of electrical energy consumed per hour. In this way, as long as we calculate the power of the advertising sign, we can know how much electricity does the sign consume in an hour? How many kilowatt hours of electricity do you need per day? So we can know the approximate electricity bill.

We take the use of multiple exposed illuminated character signs as an example to calculate

One square meter of exposed luminous characters varies depending on the installation height and the distance between light sources. For example, if the distance between light beads is 2cm, then first calculate the number of light sources when one square meter is filled with light beads as (100cm/2cm) * (100cm/2cm)=2500 light beads. However, Chinese characters generally cannot be fully filled with light sources. Experience and practice have shown that the number of light sources for one square meter of luminous characters is only 60% of that when filled, The number of light sources for Chinese characters per square meter is 2500 * 0.6=1500 lights. If the sign is exposed with monochromatic luminous characters, each lamp bead is 0.1w, then the power consumption per square meter of such luminous characters is 1500 * 0.1=150w. If the sign is exposed with full color luminous characters, calculated at 0.3w per lamp bead, then the power consumption per square meter of such luminous characters is 1500 * 0.3w=450w. Multiply it by the total area of the illuminated characters on the sign and it will be fine!

In this way, as long as we know the distance between the exposed glowing characters, we can easily calculate the power consumption of the tiles.

Other types of luminous characters, such as lightbox luminous characters or resin luminous characters, depend on the power of the light source. Then, according to the design drawing, the number of light sources can be determined, and the power consumption of the sign can be easily calculated.
